Manchester Utd 11/10 Here are the early odds for the 2008/2009 Premiership Title. I wonder how much the Cristiano Ronaldo saga will affect the United odds as the days and weeks go on. |

I find it kind of depressing that every year there are only four clubs that are challenging for the title. There is never a surprise package that comes out of nowhere and makes a concerted effort and scares the big four. Maybe we need to start looking at a salary cap to make things a bit fairer. |

I am already looking forward to next season. I really think Arsenal can challenge United & Chelsea and we might get a genuine three-way scrap for the title. I don't think Liverpool can close the gap and make it a four-way but still, if three teams are in it come May then we can't really argue. If either Hull or Stoke survive it'll be the greatest single season performance in Premiership history I'd say. Both those teams look like a poor man's Derby and that isn't exactly a flattering comparison. |

I agree regarding Stoke & Hull - do they really have a chance of staying up? Maybe the FA should look closely at trimming down the league to 18 or 16 teams as I don't see any value in having these also-runs with no chance of staying up in the league. |

With regards to Stoke and Hull - I have little doubt that they'll go down but they won't be as bad as Derby were last season. Both are proud cities with clubs who aren't used to top flight football. Their stadiums will be intimidating and they'll gain more than their fair share of points at home. |

I saw Hull were interested in signing Christian Vieri over the weekend. Now I have no idea how old he is - he must be well into his 30s and hasn't scored a goal for about six years. If this is the sort of player that they are after they might be going for Derby's record from last season! |

I didn't go to any but I watched all of the big four and I have to admit that it was Chelsea who looked the best - although Pompey looked awful! |

Two weeks into the season and already I hate Liverpool even more than I did previously (and that is quite impressive) |

Well after two rounds of games it looks like it's the usual suspects at the top of the table. |
