A few years back Damien Duff was a sensation. He was a real bright shining star in the midst of Blackburn Rovers and scored a £17million move to big spending Chelsea. He did well at the club in his first year but his second season was extremely disappointing. He then went to the Toon for £5m. He hasn't played well since and this is a big year for the player. With King Kev who loves attacking players at the helm he'll no doubt make Duff a pivotal player for the Toon. I wonder if he'll recapture the form that made him one of the stars of the Premiership. |

Damien Duff is the perfect King Kev player - give him the ball and trust him and he'll come through. With these flair players you need to make them feel wanted and an important part of the team. |

He hasn't been good for three years so why would he suddenly become good now? |

I reckon King Kev can get the best out of him. He performed miracles at Blackburn a few years back and he can be that good again. You never lose it! |

Id agree, i think this might be the year that Duff hits the highs again but... you definately can lose it! Many players have lost it before their time should have been up and many more will follow. |
