So the traditional season opener has been and gone. United looked decent but failed to breakdown a resilient Portsmouth team. Not sure we learnt a lot but one thing I did learn was that United need a striker. Still think they look a top side and Pompey had little or no creativity.

Thought it was a really poor game of football. Was pretty disappointed and it hasn't exactly whetted the appetite for the season ahead.
