I was listerning to Talk sport last night with Adrian Durham and he stated that in fact Frank Lampard has done alot more for England than Steven Gerrard.

Well the amount of mouthy scousers ringing in then was some of the funniest radio I've ever listened too.

FAT FRANK THIS FAT FRANK THAT. Well tbh I am actually fed up with these stupid northen monkeys saying how crap Frank is when Gerrard himself is doing absolutely nothing for the national side.

Gerrard cannot pass for toffee he scores an opputune goal now and then thats it and still everyone just concentrates on slagging of Frank. I admit Gerrard is a greater tackler and is a slightly better leader but this is not what we need for England.

Frank is the driving force that we need for England put him behind the 2 strikers as he plays for Chelsea.

England next problem is we have no world class strikers NONE what so ever!

Yeh don't forget Mickey Owen!! When fit there's still few better goalscorers in the entire world.

I'm tempted to launch into a anti fat frank rant (sorry!!) but i'll be less predictible. Drop both of them 4 england as for england they are bloody awful.

My solution - Barry and Bullard - just try it Capello pleeeeeaaaaasssssse!!!!

I think Gerrard is twice the player Lampard is, and would have him in my team before lampard every single week.

Micheal Own is a GOOD striker, not WORLD CLASS. infact he is no where near WORLD CLASS in my opinion.

Fat Frank to be fair isn't fit to lace Stevie G's boots and Owen was World Class but now is just average since he left the mighty 'Pool.

If Owen ever got fully fit then we might see him be the world class finisher he used to be but until then...

I have to say I'm on the drop them both boat. Both are undoubtedly quality club players who are integral to two of the more successful teams in Europe in recent years, but they are both souless when they put on an England shirt and suck the life out of the team. Give an opportunity to someone who actually wants to play for the national side, stick Joe Cole in the more advanced midfield role for England.
