Football is growing in the United States. It is the most popular sport at the under-11 level, but then it has trouble competing with the big sports in North America, American Football, Baseball, Basketball and to a lesser extent, Ice Hockey.
It does have a league, which has attracted some big names, including of course David Beckham. Fans of these teams are very loyal and the league has announced expansion plans for new two franchises, in Seattle and Philadelphia in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
